Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban denied that
Luka Doncic has indicated he wants the roster to be upgraded before the trade deadline.
"Tim MacMahon got it dead wrong. Luka has never suggested, asked, demanded, or discussed changes to the roster," Cuban said.
"Luka and Nico [general manager] have a great relationship. They talk almost daily. Luka knows exactly what we have going on and is very supportive," Cuban added.
Earlier, ESPN's Tim MacMahon reported that Doncic has strongly hinted that he desires a stronger roster to be built around him.
"Sources said Doncic, who hasn't shown a desire to be involved in personnel matters in the past, has strongly indicated he wants the Mavs to upgrade before the Feb. 9 trade deadline,"
MacMahon informed in his article.
The 23-year-old Slovenian averages a career-high 33.8 points, 9.0 rebounds, and 8.8 assists over 40 games this season.
Spencer Dinwiddie and Christian Wood are his main assistants on the Mavs squad.
Jalen Brunson helped Doncic last season when Dallas reached the Western Conference Finals. However,

The Mavericks are winless (have a 0-5 record) without Luka this season.
